Reddit

The Reddit section gives you a view of which URLs and subreddits are contributing to AI visibility within your industry. Rather than tracking Reddit for reputation management alone, Gauge uses it to show you exactly which threads and communities are being cited in AI-generated answers for the prompts you’re tracking.

What You’ll See

Subreddits

The Subreddits tab shows the most impactful subreddits in your space — the communities generating the most citations across your tracked prompts. These are the places where Reddit content is actively influencing what AI models say about your category.

URLs

The URLs tab shows the specific Reddit threads driving citations. For each URL you can see:
  • Citation rate — how often this URL is cited across your tracked prompts
  • Change in visibility — whether that citation rate is trending up or down
  • Brand mentions — which brands are referenced in that thread
Click into any URL to see every prompt it was cited for.

Coverage Gaps

You can compare citation coverage between your brand and competitors to identify threads where competitors are mentioned but you’re not. Filter by topic, date range, and platform at the top of the screen.

The Charts

Two graphs appear at the top of the Reddit view:
  • Citation rate for reddit.com — the percentage of your tracked prompts that cite any Reddit URL. This shows how much Reddit overall is influencing AI answers in your space.
  • Reddit citations mentioning your brand — of all the Reddit citations being pulled into AI answers, what percentage actually mention your brand. This is the number to grow.

Why It Matters

Reddit is one of the most heavily cited sources in AI-generated answers. Knowing which threads and subreddits are driving those citations tells you exactly where your brand needs to show up — and where a competitor mention is costing you visibility.
