# Using Gauge Chat and Gauge Agents

> How one Gauge account, organization, and team work across Gauge Chat and Gauge Agents, how to move between them, and how to find any page with quick search.

Gauge has two products. **Gauge Chat** is Gauge's AI visibility product. **Gauge Agents** is Gauge's Coding Agent optimization product. You can use either product on its own, or use both for the same company.

## One organization, one team

Both products share the same Gauge account, organization, and team:

* **Account.** You sign in to both products with the same Gauge account. Sign in to one, and you can move to the other without signing in again.
* **Organization.** Your company is one Gauge organization. A new organization created in either product is available to both.
* **Team.** An organization has one team. When you invite or remove someone in either product, the change applies to both. A teammate does not need a separate invitation for the second product.

Each product keeps its own data, setup, and billing. Using one product does not set up or charge for the other:

| | Gauge Chat | Gauge Agents |
| - | - | - |
| Data | Prompts, answers, citations, content | Evals, Agent Preference prompts, coding sessions |
| Setup | Market, competitors, and prompts | Repositories, evals, and run settings |
| Billing | Paid subscription, with a free trial | Credits, with free credits to start |

If your team uses only one product, you can ignore the other. See [Team Members](/help/team-members) for invitations, removals, auto-join, and seat limits.

## Move between products

### From Gauge Agents

The **Chat | Agents** switcher sits below the organization name at the top of the Agents navigation. Select **Chat** to open the same organization in Gauge Chat.

If the organization has not set up Gauge Chat yet, **Chat** opens a short introduction instead. Select **Set up Gauge Chat** to start setup, or **Not now** to stay in Agents. Your team comes with you.

The organization switcher shows each of your other organizations with a **Chat** and an **Agents** button. A button opens that product for the organization. **Set up Chat** or **Set up Agents** means the organization has not set up that product yet, and selecting it starts setup.

### From Gauge Chat

If your Chat navigation shows **Gauge Agents**, select it to open the same organization in Gauge Agents. Otherwise, go to [agents.withgauge.com](https://agents.withgauge.com) and choose your organization. If the organization has not set up Gauge Agents yet, Gauge starts the Agents setup for it.

## Quick search

Press **⌘K** on Mac or **Ctrl+K** on Windows and Linux in either product. Type to filter, use the arrow keys to move, and press **Enter** to open the result. Press **⌘Enter** or **Ctrl+Enter** to open it in a new tab. Press the shortcut again or **Esc** to close.

In **Gauge Chat**, quick search finds:

* **Pages** for the current organization and market, such as Dashboard, Prompts, Citations, and Settings.
* **Organizations**, **Categories** (markets), and **Agencies** you belong to, when you have access to more than one.

In **Gauge Agents**, quick search finds:

* **Pages**, such as Ask Gauge, Coding sessions, and **Open Gauge Chat** when the organization has set up Chat.
* **Settings** pages.
* Your other **Organizations**. Each row offers Chat and Agents. Press **Tab** to choose the product, then **Enter** to open it or start its setup.

The Agents organization switcher lists up to five other organizations. When you belong to more, it shows how many more you can find with **⌘K**.
